Many people in the Wichita area may recognize her from anchoring FOX Kansas News at 9:00PM.  I know her as my wife and a tough boy mom of three boys.  When I say "tough" I mean just that.  She had her entire colon removed and a week later took a 9 hour drive for a vacation.  Most people who have that surgery rest for 2-3 weeks (at a minimum), let alone ride in a car for 9 hours one way. To say her passion for traveling, making memories, and spending quality time with her family is a priority, wouldn't be saying enough.  This may be why she booked a trip to Alaska 3 months after my first stem cell transplant and a week before my second stem cell transplant.  She is an amazing human and I am blessed to call her my wife.
